  • ADAM-4541

Fiber optics transmission offers the benefits of wide bandwidth, immunity to EMI/RFI interference, and secure data transmission. ADAM-4541 can be used as an RS-232/422/485 point-to-point or point-to-mutipoint connection for transmitting and converting full/half-duplex signals and their equivalents within a fiber optic environment. Fiber optics is the perfect solution for applications where the transmission medium must be protected from electrical exposure, lightning, atmospheric conditions or chemical corrosion.

  • ADAM-4542+

Fiber optic transmission offers the benefits of wide bandwidth, immunity to EMI/RFI interference, and secure data transmission. ADAM-4542+ can be used as a RS-232/422/485 point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connection for transmitting and converting full/half-duplex signals and their equivalents within a fiber optic environment. Fiber optics is the perfect solution for applications where the transmission medium must be protected from electrical exposure, lightning, atmosphere. ADAM-4542+ is specifically designed to link various machinery equipped with a RS-232/422/485 communication port (such as computer systems or manufacturing machines). Using standard SC type fiber connector, the module's fiber optic ports can accommodate a wide range of fiber optic cable sizes, including 62.5/125, 250/125, 100/140 mm.

  • BB-9PFLST

Model 9PFLST allows any two pieces of RS-232 asynchronous serial equipment to communicate full-duplex over two multi-mode fibers. Typical distances up to 2.5 miles (4 km) are possible with no external power required. The 9PFLST supports both data signals at up to 115.2 kbps as well as the RTS/CTS handshake lines. This means the 9PFLST can replace short haul modems and isolators when connecting remote devices, while providing the EMI/RFI and transient immunity of optical fiber. RS-232 connections are provided on the same DB9 female connector, while the multi-mode fiber is connected via two ST connectors. The unit is port powered by the RS-232 Transmit Data and handshake lines. When handshake lines are not available, or when using a low power RS-232 port, the 9PFLST can be powered by an external 12VDC supply, drawing 50 mA maximum.

  • BB-FOSTC

Fiber optic cabling has inherent resistance to EMI/RFI and transient immunity, making it ideal for industrial and utility data communication applications. Model FOSTC can communicate full- or half-duplex over two fibers between asynchronous serial equipment at distances up to 4 km (2.5 mi).

  • BB-FOSTCDR

Model FOSTCDR, serial to multimode fiber optic converter, is suitable for standard industrial installations. It extend data communications up to 4 km (2.5 mi) and provides two-way optical isolation on the input and output lines. Model FOSTCDR provides the most versatile connection possible between any asynchronous full- or half-duplex serial equipment. In addition to direct point-to-point connectivity, it is capable operating in multi-drop mode. This allows one serial device to communicate with up to 31 other devices around a fiber optic ring. Since the converter supports mixed serial standards, you can replace other converters and isolators and add the EMI/RFI immunity inherent to fiber optic communications. An Automatic Send Data Control circuit controls the RS-422/485 driver chip, eliminating the requirement for special software. Easy to install and configure, it has an 8-position DIP switch to set up RS-422/485 parameters and terminal blocks to connect serial signals and power. ...
